# Instant run sheet

The Instant Framework (theinstantframework.com) by Falcra (falcratechnologies.com)

A spreadsheet of every step in an Instant engagement, in order, from preparation to release: what to do next, who leads it, who helps, what to use and what "done" looks like. It is for the Conductor and the Stage Manager, or your project manager, to follow and tick off.

The Instant Guide explains each stage and the Instant Practices explain how each step is done. The run sheet puts them in order.

## What's in the download

- `instant-run-sheet.xlsx`, with five tabs:
  - **How to use:** how to set it up and keep it current.
  - **Summary:** the next step not yet done, who leads it and what to use, and how many steps remain in each stage.
  - **Run sheet:** 58 steps across the seven stages, S0 Prepare to S6 Release and refine, each ending with its sign-off. Status drop-down; finished rows grey out.
  - **Every session:** what happens at every Blitz session.
  - **Licence.**
- `README.md`: this file.

## How to use it

1. Delete the steps that don't apply, or mark them "Not needed". The Applies column says when a step is only needed in some situations.
2. Put a name and a due date against each step. Start the long-lead requests in Prepare first.
3. Copy the S4 Build rows once for each Unit of Work, after the units are approved in Design.
4. Update the status as you go, and check the Summary tab for what's next.
5. Record every sign-off in your sign-off register as well. The run sheet tracks the work; the register is the record.

It is also published as a web page at theinstantframework.com.
